Facial Contouring

Dermal fillers are highly suitable for facial contouring because they don’t have the permanent commitment of major surgery. Common situations where facial contouring would be highly suitable include:

• Hollow cheeks due to ageing
• Loss of fatty tissue from the face following illness
• Correcting a weak chin
• Defining high cheekbones
• Filling deep folds between the eyebrows

A slightly different form of Restylane is used for these procedures called Perlane, which has larger gel crystals and is more suitable for contouring larger areas. However, like normal Restylane, Perlane is absorbed by the body over time and needs topping up every 3 to 6 months.
